Hi all. I was wondering if anyone know anything about this glass sculpture. Is 46.5 cm height. Any advice? Many thanks.

I don't know why but I immediately thought Flygsfors Scandinavian artist Paul Kedelv. I have had a few of his pieces but only a coquille bowl and vase. It is a splendid piece for those of us who LOVE glass eye candy!!!

It could be Chinese. I had this piece that was made in China:

but the big difference is that mine was glued to its glass base while the base on yours appears to be integral.

First reaction: ooh yeah that's nice!

Second: tend to agree with @moreotherstuff -could very well be Chinese.

I don't know if this will help at all, but here is a similar one that was sold at a recent local on line auction. The description said that the buyer paid $1500 for it and it is signed. I couldn't grab any photos of the signature, but when I viewed them, all I could make out was the date of 11/96. It looked like scratchings. Like maybe the buyer (our guy who paid too much) asked the seller to sign it and he didn't have a stylus so just scratched at it with a nail or something. Here' s the piece. My guess is that it might have come from WinterFair which is a craft fair held here every December. It attracts artists from all over the country. Or maybe not.
