Looks antique to me, but clearly some pieces are missing. The bottom has several holes to attach it to something. The small one in the center is threaded.

In the bowl of the main piece, there is a large hole that seems to function as a "drain". (Photo 4)

Although dark in color, I believe it is brass. Spots that are worn show brass color. Also looking at it again, I think the white residue on one side might have been someone's attempt at polishing it. The piece measures 4 1/2 inches across (not including the necks of the swans) and weights 1 lb., so fairly heavy. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Wow, that's what this must be. Thank you, INH! :) I wonder if mine was gold at one time?

Also wondering if the base of mine is floating around the GW somewhere.

On other difference is that the wings on mine are all one piece with the body, in the Live Auctioneers one it almost looks like the wings are separate. Could mine be some kind of copy??

Other thoughts appreciated, but we have a good start here!

It could be, I got lucky once going back to the store. The one hole is threaded, as if the base might have a screw of sorts.

In my opinion they are one piece with a line yours also has. See what others think. It still could be a repro, I’m not very knowledgeable about that.

They are the same imo. The one INH posted was listed as 6" what does yours measure from the tips of the beaks?

It's 6" from beak to beak. Possibly the same?

I'll check back at the store, but first thought is either someone donated this lone piece, maybe the base was lost at some point. Or if by some chance it came apart in the donation bins, I hate to say it but the GW may have thrown the other pieces out.

Although this is the store that had a $1.99 sticker on an empty ice cream container one time, so maybe there is hope!

I'm heading over to the GW now on the off chance that two piece base is floating around somewhere. I don't need much of an excuse to go there during normal times, but have been limiting visits due to Covid, but feel this is a possible rescue mission and will arrive as the store opens when it isn't very busy. And as I've said, I don't need much of a push to go thrifting.

    Will report back!

    Thanks Kiko.

Home now. Nothing over at the thrift. Guessing maybe the swan piece came in as a lone donation, hate to think they might have thrown the base out....

But did get a Nyform troll, so not a wasted trip. :)
