While I can't tell you who made it, the Gold Hallmark Identification Wizard told me the following:

Crown 18 stamp indicates that it was hallmarked prior to 1975 and it is 18K gold.
Sideways Anchor indicates item was assayed in Birmingham, England.
Lower case Y indicates that the item was hallmarked in 1898.

https://www.gold-traders.co.uk/hallmarks/results.asp this link is for the results.

No, not older than 1898. Hallmarked in 1898. Normally marked in the same year as manufacture.

Oh no, she said redundantly! Just before I posted that, I thought, "this was too easy, someone surely has already posted it." So I looked back and I thought that previous post was showing silver marks.

I think I was blinded by those diamonds! LOL!

Pam, the fact that you were able to nail it independently, shows how competent your thought processes and summations are. If this were MY gorgeous diamond ring, I'd want all of the thoughts and opinions I could get! :playful::playful:

So pretty! These are very popular right now; look on Instagram for antique 5 stone diamond ring and you will see all kinds. Yours looks to have a nice carat weight. My husband bought me one a year ago with beautiful mine cut diamonds for my 15th anniversary; I prefer it over my engagement ring.

Komo, such a romantic! I told my husband when we were first married (and couldn't afford much) that I was expecting a sensational diamond ring on our 25th so he needed to start saving up right away.

In the end, the 25th came and went and I was no longer interested in a big diamond ring. I wanted remodeling money instead. Now that's real fun, like decorating your doll house when you were a kid, LOL!

Haha, noooo.... He’s not remotely interested in this sort of stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love my engagement ring for the sentiment, but it is tight right now and set high and this is comfy and set close. And the old mine cut diamonds just fascinate me.

I totally agree! But we just bought a house so though I would love to change some things, $1200 wouldn’t get me too far (esp with my taste!!) I don’t really need a big diamond- gimme a new kitchen any day!!

Mom had her engagement ring made into this cocktail ring...
She wasn't wearing the other much anymore and it was sad to see that stone sitting in a box.....nice leather monogrammed box..........but still !!
