Antique? Help with Chairs

Hi everyone. Thanks in advance for any help. I have a couple of very small hall chairs. Not sure if they're older or did someone make them in their garage? They measure 32" high and the seat height is only 14". They look like kids chairs. Thanks again for looking.

Hi--I am NOT a furniture person..they will come along soon. BUT--I do know those are modern screws used in the construction....

 

Vaguely arts and crafts looking,but Im guessing a homemade job . That being said,I really like the shape and simplicity. I also like the holes used to move them . Id guess 1890s-1920s in age.

 

they sure look homemade.....screwed together planks........???

 

Thanks for the replies. My 8 year old granddaughter has been begging to keep them. I guess they're hers now.

I agree, probably homemade inspired by Gothic elements

 

They're fun and not the kind of thing that would suffer from a coat of bright enamel paint.
