Featured Help with Jardiniere Maker England?

    Hi All,
    not mine, someone has it for sale. I'm not finding the mark, Rembrandt with what looks like a rooster, Griffin for the handles? Another mark that I can't make out. Thinking from England. I'm guessing about 10"H, no dimensions given
    any information appreciated

    I dunno, something seems “off” about the female figure on BOTH the one you’re showing and the one on Etsy!!! The price seems strangely out of line as well!!! Haven’t seen anything like either though.....

    From the Forester website that I linked above, same form, no lady.
    They call it a majolica double dragon planter 1890s.

    what 'seems off' on the ladies? I agree, the price seems high, no idea on the company or the prices their pieces sell for.

    The profile doesn't seem well rendered, her eye is too big, her forehead and nose stick out much further than they naturally would and come straight down. Maybe it's just a bad rendering of a woman's profile?
