I guess I have a thing for this stuff. But I seem to sell every one i buy so I keep doing it.
This piece is 6 1/2" tall multi colored flowers.
The top is brass, But the bottom looks more silver.
Was hoping someone could give me an age range and either Japanese or Chinese. or?

A bit cross-cultural looking, my jury is still out. What colour is the inside?
The base without enamel and the roof tile like border around the bottom look Japanese.
It has a very Chinese looking ruyi border, but that has those Japanese goldstone shimmer cloisons (pink), which are also in the flower buds.

Here is a pic of the top, gray not brass?
And the wires are silver not brass either?

Thanks Mikey. It is a definite yes for Japanese now.
    - No enamel on the inside or base.
    - The silver colour of the metal.
    - Goldstone filled cloisons in the ruyi border and in the flower buds.
    - 'Roof tile' border around the bottom.

The fact that there is no line of little dots just above the bottom rim was a bit confusing, but they are not mandatory of course. This one also has just roof tiles and no line of dots:

Judging from the pitting in the enamel, your vase is antique. Late Meiji, I think, just before 1912.

By the way, 'roof tiles' is just my name for that pattern. There must be a far more elegant term, but I think you know what I mean:
