    I bought this at a auction. It's made of wood including the porthole.
    It measures 49" x 37.5"
    I googled London Dry Dock but didn't find anything.
    Is this a real advertising sign?
    Maybe a piece from a play or movie?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Some signs are newly made and 'antiqued'. Looks like this could be one of those. Just something people like in their home.
    I could be wrong, of course, but that staining and the rickety construction don't look good to me.

    Fantasy decorators piece. The real ones are far better made: and they'd not have the red ensign on!

    There were no dry docks in London, nearest was at Chatham dockyard on the Medway.
