    The vermeil inside even if intended to protect the silver from the chemical gives even more a regal touch in your pic:woot:
    The egg is my favorite, though difficult to choose one:)

    Vestas are also of great interest to collectors, and as like vinaigrettes they were produced in all manner of styles by numerous makers. Many of them could be attached to watch/fob chains, and they incorporated a 'rough' base or the inside lid was engraved in order to strike & light a match/vesta. Some vesta's also had the provision to hold coins too.

    Thank you, Kyra - hard for me to choose a favorite, they're all so nice, but probably the Danish hovedvansaeg, unusual and the hardest for me to find. If only I had a wonderful Scottish horn snuffmull-form vinaigrette like yours to add to the group!
