I got this set on a flea couple months ago and just trying to figure out how old it is.
    Not hallmarked anywhere.
I tested it and came up as silver (not plated).
    Definitely rhinestones.
    Any clues?

Size of the rhinestone piece is roughly 75X65 mm
The rhinestone piece can be used with both hair attachments, just clips in it so I doubt there is a second piece.

Not neccessarily weddings, but certainly in the Spanish style. Lovely things. Brooch back looks 40s ish or later.Did you test the stones?

Lovely parure, and yes it is an ornamental comb. The brooch pin could have been added later.
How big is it, Lennyt? Spanish or Filipino peinetas are a bit bigger than those from most other countries, although that can vary depending on the period.

I'll tag @Firemandk , maybe he could ask his wife if this is Filipino.:)

There are clearly 2 "rings" (one to each end of the brooch) which suggests it could also be attached to a neck chain too, making it a 3 piece combination. It may also originally have had a matching pair of earrings, and a quality presentation box for the complete set.

Yes, that is a features of most antique parures, that a larger piece can be converted into several pieces of jewellery.
Nowadays the term is often used for a non-convertible set of necklace and earrings, sometimes bracelet and/or ring too.

The brooch pin is probably not original, the rings are imo.

Another example of a parure, a tiara which can be converted to a necklace. I suspect the flowers on either side of the central part of the tiara can be worn as earrings, and the central one as brooch or pendant.

I didn't post it for you specifically, it is good information for anyone who reads this thread.;) That is why many of us post extra information on a subject, this forum is read by people around the world, and often used for reference.

I'd agree the brooch is a replacement, it's way later. @Any Jewelry - I wonder if the original was marcasite or even diamond?

I probably wasn't clear, I meant the pin part of the jewel. The jewel itself was probably part of the parure from the start, it has a matching slot for the screw, to fit it on the comb.
There may also have been a tiara frame to screw the jewel to.
Marcasites were rarely used in these parures, it was either clear stones or paste. And (faux) pearls.
