How is one error by me, classed as continued protests?
I noticed there was no suggestion to how the pattern was done.

It is interesting I have been big enough to apologise for my error about the engine turning,"there is no hand work on this box" comment by Cheryl.
Base and other decoration under paint done by hand.

There does not seem to be the same approach ,when others make errors
    funny thing that.

I have nothing to apologize for - and please do not misquote me, what I said was, "There is no engine-turning on this piece (nothing even resembles engine-turning), nor was any decoration done by hand, it is cast."

Your item is nice, but not a work of art, it is well-made, but the the hand-work was done on the the original model, which was most likely done in clay, whether the production technique was lost-wax or sand-casting. It would have been cleaned up and polished before any gilding, plating or painting, but I see no evidence the decorative texturing, or any decorative chasing was applied after casting. You are certainly entitled to believe whatever you like, as am I and everyone else, but you might think about how sure you were of the 'engine-turning', and perhaps educate your mind and your eye before you call me out on my supposed ignorance.

I will not waste any more time here - but again, wish you well in any further research...

With due respect,I do understand the manufacturing process of this box,it seems you like listening your opinion ,more than reading my posts properly.
I am not here to get it slanging matches ,I did ask you how the pattern on the base was done, for some reason you did not read this properly or you did not know how it was done because you did not answer. (this is where the engine turning issue started )
I have had an opinion that it was stamped and also the other decoration was stamped by hand .
now whether this was done at the design stage or after is a matter of opinion.
also to me making the design and the mould is all hand work.
For you to say it is not a work of art is very strange it is not a pumpkin or an apple so I would call it a work of art.
I do value your comments if only we could stick to understanding the article ,that would be great.

Columba, you are out of order.
Dragonfly wink is extremely knowledgeable and generous with her knowledge. She was correct when you rudely insisted otherwise so don’t be surprised when we defend a valued forum member who didn’t deserve to be treated so disrespectfully.

    Thanks I need Help.

This will be my final comment on this issue ,I do respect what you say and what other members say ,my main point has always been ,that my posts and comments do not seem to have been read correctly(as the question I posted," how was the pattern on the base done") was not answered at all by anyone. What was the reason for this? I did not intentionally make my error, and apologized very soon after I am not sure what else I could have done.
As I said I am not here to get into personality issues.
Also strange, no comments (only one) on the image of a similar style box I posted
why are most of my positive posts being ignored ,this is my main point.
I would also hope that some of my comments are also helpful in this forum.

About the pattern on the base ,I found the answer elsewhere and posted it here for other members (again no comments on my answer) I would have thought that this was a positive for the forum.
