Featured Water pitch/teapot

A friend is offering this to me real cheap. If I buy it, I would not keep it. I notice the lid is not sitting well and can not find it on line. Any thoughts as to country of origin? USA china? 60’s, 80’s 90’s or more current? He stated it was asian themed decorative metal urn/pitcher.

 

Tibet, my guess 1980s. It is a very nice one, made for Tibetan butter tea.
The inlay is glass, imitation coral and turquoise.

 

Thank you AJ, as soon as I saw the blue and red stones, aka:glass, I immediately remembered what you said about the Safi Moroccan hand washing pot and urn, glass beads. I learned well, please don’t stop.

More Yak butter than tea. It was a lot cheaper in the cold mountains.
