    Hello from Australia!
I am new to this Forum(or any Forum for that matter!) so bear with me!
I am desperately trying to Identify a Crystal Vase I have passed down from family.I have done extensive research online and have not found anything that comes close to the style and pattern of this Vase. I don't have a great deal of information unfortunately but here is what I do know-
*100% sure it is Cut Glass/Lead Crystal. Very solid, very heavy
    *18cm High / 7"
    *Definitely dates prior to 1970
    *NO mark visible
*Has a variety of patterns including Stars, Starbursts and what I can only describe as 'upside down Pineapples!'. Star on the foot
I am hoping someone out there will end my misery and ID this mystery vase for me! Thank you in advance for any assistance!

I can't id it for you, but it is press moulded and not cut, so that might be why you weren't getting anywhere with the search. In image two I can see vertical lines descending from the rim which is a clear sign of a moulded item. Some of the decoration edges also look soft and rounded, which again is a sign the item was moulded. Others here may be able to recognise the design for you.

Thank you Ce BCA. Very helpful. I clearly have no knowledge of Crystal!

Nice first post. I am interested in glass, but am still learning too. Members who know something will generally want to see a close up of the bottom of any thing you post. Bottoms can be very revealing. :)

It really looks like a Soviet vase to me, but probably isn't. Not sure if there are many Soviet vases in Australia. :D

By the way, there are a lot of Bohemia vases just like yours around here in Eastern Europe.

Unfortunately I can't quite capture a clear photo of the bottom but upon second inspection it is not a 'Star' but more like a Flower(Daisy shape) which you can see in photo 4 taken from the inside of the vase. Sorry, not much help:(

You nailed it Erik!! Thank you, thank you, thankyou! I never even considered the Czech crystal, I was too busy focusing on the British stuff! Any idea what Vintage this Vase is and possible value? Also, can anyone tell me if this Vase would have been available to purchase in Australia circa 50's/60's(my mother-in-law came to Australia from England in 1947)?

Try Bohemian, Miranda pattern. I saw some without the foot.

Thanks for that. The Miranda has some similar patterns(Starbursts) but I don't think it's quite right

Which image do you mean? I am quite new to glass and it would be a nice asset to know when something is cut or moulded.

Let me suggest that you get a magnifier app for your phone. They ae free or minimal cost. They use you phone's camera to take the picture. The one I like is magnifying glass ++,but there are several out there to choose from. Get one with a light. Taking the bottoms of clear glass is tricky. Try an slight angle rather straight on. For this forum, take a picture of the whole bottom and a close up of any marks. Good luck.
