This contemporary wall hanging ceramic head is currently for sale online. The seller doesn’t know the artist’s name. It is quite clearly signed. She thinks it is a Greek name and I think she is right but I’ve tried virtually every Greek surname beginning with A without success.
    Any ideas?

Thank you. There is certainly a similarity in both style and the signature

Thanks. I am pretty sure that the pieces are by the same artist as the Elite Crafters vases. Going on their English language version of the website they say “artist signed” but don’t mention who the artist is. So I’m going to give it a miss. Thanks for all the help. No more needed.

@John Brassey I am certainly not an expert in the piece itself; however, I spent many years working with a very dear Greek man whose last name was Kanakaris. I was close with his family and many of their last names started with K, such as Kostas. When I saw that signature I immediately saw “Kaua....”. Could it perhaps be that it starts with K and not A? The capital T in the middle of the signature seems to suggest that capitalization may not have applied as we typically see it.

Thank you. I think it is K A...... but I am no longer looking at it as I now think it is factory produced for Elite Crafters rather than a piece of art pottery. Thanks very much for you input.

What does that mean @John Brassey ”elite crafters”. Is that something to watch out for?
