Featured Can you tell me anything about this little filigree brooch/pendant?

Hi there! I picked this up today when I was doing my usual thrift store visit. It had been overlooked; not with the fancy bling in the special glass cabinet but hanging sadly with the cheaper stuff on a paper card. I couldn't find any marks until I looked with my loupe and found some on the pin. Can you tell me anything about it? eg. age and origin or what the marks mean? It's pretty small, only 1" across. I always love these, and just can't stop buying them when I find them cheap. Most are made in the southern Balkans, Southeastern Europe.
Yours is probably 1950s, with that brooch-pendant combo.

Thank you! I always think older when I see the 'C' clasp, but I really have no clue.

 

It is. Probably Adriatic coral, which is Mediterranean red coral.

 

It depends on the region. Some makers, especially in non-Western parts of the world, still use the C-clasp.

 

Maybe you can get a photo of the marks through a loupe or magnifying app?

Apologies, these are not the best but the marks are in such an awkward place and the brooch is so small! I really don't know how they stamp this tiny, it's incredible!

The mark on the left is the Yugoslavian chicken (at least that's what I call it) for 800 silver. Yugoslavia was a country in the southern Balkans, now split into several states. According to my information, the mark was used from 1933 until 1992.

 

I can't find the mark online, so I'll take a photo of a page in one of my books tomorrow, so you get an idea what the cute little chicken looks like. It is late here now.

I think I have been calling a rooster a chicken. It is cute, whatever it is (love the feet).
