Featured Ice shoes/Sandals

Has anyone run across a pair of strap on metal Ice sandals. These are made by the Roe metal sandal company. I think there is a patent on them from 1919 and a revision in 1935. These were used by people working on Ice and later it was suggested use for the military as a trench shoe or for walking on sand.

Here is what I purchased at an auction. The guy was a hoarder.
They still have the leather straps.
