    Was wondering if this was an amateur produced piece or something produced commercially?

    That’s beautiful. Reminds me of Pisgah pottery crystalline but I’ve never seen one without their mark. Are you anywhere near North Carolina?

    I see a B and maybe an A .Put a little corn starch on that and see if it shows more.

    Crystalline glaze like this is probably out of reach for most amateurs. It looks rather like a Pierrefonds glaze, although I think they are usually well marked. Ruskin also produced similar glazes, although I don't think this is their work. No doubt other manufacturers also had access to this type of glaze.
