    Hi all,
Got this beauty at a sale run by an estate sale company. It was black, I guess they figured silver plate which was good for me:) Cleaned the bottom first thing and found the marks, London 1849 Edward, John and William Barnard.
I need help with the coat of arms, I'm not finding anything - I'm using eagle, 2 stars crossed sword and ship.
I haven't finished polishing it yet, just given it a couple of coats of polish and rubbing, but it has turned out lovely! Not sure if I'll be able to get all the dark/dirt out of the indents inside, but I'll try.
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

    Spectacular! What a score! :singing:

Hope someone here can help. Can see that it has real quality, good heavens. That's an older piece, too!

Nicely done seeing it's potential even when almost solid black. Good eye, Cxgirl.

You may have someone family crest silver cup initial name.
but is sure is a beautiful piece!
The armoury crest looks like a Prussian family crest derived from Poland I guess,
due to the 1 eagle facing left on the top, that can still find in Poland flag.
The Initial names as EC to WB,
And Latin are very current use in Europe country, they learn that in school before the ww2 as official matter.
Praesto et persto are not that rare use with amoury crest…

cxgirl's statement in her original post is correct: London 1849.

I see the dedication as possibly "EJC/ETC/EFC to MWB"?
    Stunning piece!!

Internet also says that "Praesto et Persto" is "I undertake and persevere"?

    @cxgirl I also see a tree stump.
