    .800 isn't coin silver. That would be .900.

    I thought it meant 800 silver but I am not confident of these assumptions. Thank you. I see that the crescent and crown is the national mark for German Silver, now though.

    Thanks Bakers! ! I should have realized that being a coin collector! All pre 1965 silver coins are 90% silver! DUH. My brain was just not putting 2 and 2 together!

    Thank you. I agree it has an antique feel to me too. More considered than my more modern pieces if you know what I mean. Less of a production feel.
