Featured Bracelet

Can anyone offer any advice on this bangle/bracelet? I have had it for a fare while now, all I know was that it belonged to an Aunty of mine. She died in the 1970's, so I’m thinking possibly Art Deco? I think it’s made from Bakelite but there are several types and I don’t know which one. It’s a beautiful piece of costume jewellery and I’d love to find out more and if anyone has any ideas on its value, I’d be really grateful

Sold for 114.50 in 2020. That seems low to me, I'd ask more if I was selling.

Gorgeous! There isn't too much discussion about the "type" of Bakelite when looking at a piece like this. There are a few types, mostly to help describe the color I think. Butterscotch, spinach (usually marbled looking) etc. Sometimes sellers come up with words to describe color best, I don't think here it matters. It's an absolute stunner, positively Bakelite and the design and condition will trump everything.

I would price it somewhere between the two links.

wonderful. I was always wondering about bakelite carving. granma told me that one of her uncles was telephone carver.
