Hi all, I've seen this creature before but after much hair pulling and searching I can't drag the name up from the depths of memory/internet. Can someone please save me from more hair loss! Also thoughts on whether it is more likely Southern Indian or Indonesian/Javan. Ty

Edit: Aha! Remembered - it's a Makara, still like thoughts on origin though, ty

Please don't pull out your hair, help is here: Makara.:)
More likely Southern Indian, imo. Gorgeous!

No worries, nice to have it confirmed. And thanks I did suspect it was most likely Indian as there are similar carvings in regional temples.
