I found these 2 paintings (+ a Peter Max signed Earth Summit poster & a old bus/trolley fare box!) at a thrift store today. The Leroy Neiman one is a copy(?) of his work titled Show Jumper, I think (also - it was painted on board; not sure if Leroy Neiman ever did that)
    1st - it's not his signature/work right?
2nd - Thoughts on the painting? (I found a litho/serigraph of this piece & they were asking $3,000 for it!
It looks cool - would a Leroy Neiman copy have any value?

The 2nd painting is a abstract that looks like the signature ends with Matzle? Does anyone recognize the artist's name?

Finally the last painting - is it a impressionism? (It made me think of Hitchcock's The Birds!) I googled De Gennaro artist & there are a lot of them! If I knew what kind of/style painting it was it would help me narrow the search for the artist.

Thank you in advance for any help!

PS - Here is the old (Pat. date is 1914!!) fare box - it almost looks like a piece of art itself!

I am no expert, but the 3rd one? No way I would call that impressionism, JMHO :)

Tree with birds.;) Very yellow. Decorative, strictly for people with sunglasses.

Impressionism was a 19th century style of art. It was named after the painting below by Claude Monet, "Impression, Sunrise", 1872 (not 1972). I hope you can see the difference.

Neiman looks like some kind of canvas print.

For the yellow painting with the tree. My experience is that, paintings with those simply drawn birds is a sign of an amateur work.

No idea on the paintings, but the fare box is especially cool! :)

Impressionist is just as the word implies - an impression of an object rather than a realistic portrayal. You know what the object is if the artist is good but it remains "vague".

    Leroy Neumann is painting.
So what would you call the - so much - yellow painting? In nothing special may put it out by mailbox for someone to hopefully take - I have so many now!

Here is back of "Neiman" - you may not see the paint run on board edge but I could also see & feel it's paint on front - I may need to take a close up sorry

I see it's not a impressionism now (I thought it meant what ever someone thought a scene looked like to them when they painted it)
A final question - my favorite of them is the abstract; it's not a factory painting is it?

I would say number 2 is abstract expressionist?

    I like it.

It's my favorite too - wish I could make out artist's name; I think it was hard to do to achieve it's look. I can connect with this one more than dots or "spilled paint" ones.

The abstract is a decorative painting
