Featured Another gorgeous vase I can't identify

Hello again everyone

This one is one of my favorites. Pictures don't do justice how beautiful this vase is. Got it from Sweden from a small local antique shop. Can't find anything like this. It is VERY heavy and height about 21,5 cm (8.5 inches). No signature or marks on the bottom

Any help is highly appreciated

I've looked through 100s of pages online and nothing even remotely similar...

 

It's very pretty and I looked around a bit though I'm not very good with glass. If no one comes up with it you might try this forum. I've had good luck there but it's not the easiest to navigate.

My first thought is that it is Scandinavian... there are lots of companies that make glass that looks like "ice".

Swedish - Nybro, Bergdala, Kosta Burda, Orrefors, Reijmyre and Eneryda Glasbrod
and Finnish - ittalia
for starters... you might check out their websites...

I don't think this is just any old glass, it looks like crystal to me - is it crystal, Erik ?

 

Tapio Wirkkala comes to mind. The free appraisal folks at Bonhams and Sotheby's would probably know.

 

Well, you are right. I am pretty sure it is crystal. Not sure how many %, but definitely some sort of crystal.

 

I'd also try the Scandinavian glass Facebook group. It's certainly lead crystal and looks Scandi to me.

There's some very decent glass groups on Facebook. Some have retired makers, which is very cool.
