    Would this be for honey? Also any guesses on the maker? Approx 3" tall. Thanks.

    That’s a Marzi & Remy mark, pretty sure it’s a sugar bowl. :)

    Edit: maybe honey or even mustard.

    Like for mustard with hot, soft pretzels. You wouldn't leave something sweet, like sugar or honey with an opening ants could come through, and honey would start to lose moisture & begin to crystalize if air could get in. For something pungent that doesn't readily spoil & spoon left in even when not on the table. Bring on the roast beast!

    Wow, that is a blast from the past!
    The last time I heard Senf pronounced as Sempf was many moons ago. I know it from the dialect of Oberpfalz, Bavaria. A beautiful region.:) Is that where you picked it up?

    And I agree, Senf is to be taken with Bratwurst or other meat dishes.
