Featured Rescue Table

    I came across this table at a Goodwill in Houston a few months back and the lines caught my eye enough that I stuck my phone under to see if it had a label or mark. Lo and behold, it still had the original label: "Widdicomb - Designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings" and a date of 1953. I finally got around to working on it this week, and after many hours of stripping, scraping and sanding, was happy to find that under two layers of paint the veneers were in decent shape. Anyway, I thought I'd share as an example of finding a diamond in the rough at a thrift shop. And also an example of how some people's idea of "upcycling" is other's idea of ruination.
