Featured Folk Art Wood Door Knocker?

I found this yesterday & I've googled wood man door knocker ^ Winslett folk art but I can't find another.
When you turn the handle the man gets snapped into the wood with a loud bang - his arms spin around so it looks like he's beating on the wood "brick wall" back.
Is this a door knocker you'd nail to your door?
This is folk art, right?
Has anyone seen one like this before?
How old do you think it is?

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

 

Probably a project from one of the woodcraft magazines.

 

If it is "folk art" then it is NEW folk art.
Looks more a craft item, may be one of a kind. Not old.

 

Agree that it doesn't appear to be terribly old.
