    Hey folks, happy Saturday :)

I’ve had these two rather large bisque porcelain (I think) birds for a while now. They are unfortunately unsigned and I haven’t been able to find anything similar to them. They don’t look hobbyist or some Chinese made to me. I got them from antiques shop in Sweden. They were cheap :)
They are quite large (first one is approx 18 cm high and 24 cm long, other one a bit smaller). Smaller bird has I think a 0 or O signed on the bottom.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot!
    Erik

They are very clean on the bases, look as if they have hardly ever been moved.

that base...with those 2 large holes....
I'd be surprised if it were 40 years old...and even if it were ...it would have the required green felt on the base.....
    so I vote...even newer

Well, my lobster bisque isn't that orange, but I will give you that the stuff in the middle does look like lobster.

So have I. I think it depends on whether the shell was ground and added to the bisque (passed through a sieve first).

Ours is much paler. Which is why I figured the picture was tomato.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

The darker one with the white ring around his neck is the Male Pheasant, the one without ring is the Female (although it's rather dark for a hen.....) nice! WHO made them--I can't tell you!!! But here's a pair: And they only show numbers on the bottom, but are called 'Norcrest'....
