On Jan 2 of the new year I walked into the local salvation army and saw this loetz cobalt blue bowl on the shelf. Today I sold it for 300.00. I am wondering if I sold this for too low? Thoughts? Thanks

I would think $300 is a good price for the piece:) and I imagine you made a good profit on it.
How did you id it was Loetz?

Kronos I'm not sure! The possibility is there. I did message the buyer about it and they said they still want it. There are other bowls on Google images that look similar to mine but have no lid so I wasn't sure

that is interesting that the one in your link is the same as the one in Kronos link just minus the lid. The seller in your link rink28 is a well known collector/seller in the art glass groups.
Did you ask about it on any art glass groups? Truthfully I don't think yours would have anywhere near the kind of value as the one on Ruby Lane.
Not sure what you can do if you have already sold it, maybe just enjoy your profit:)

These are just questions so no inference intended:).

What does the oval sticker on the base say?

Would Loetz commonly have what look like imperfections on the interior?

Would this be a "blank" since it isn't carved like the one in the link?

Personally I'd be happy with the return unless you know of a piece more like yours that sold for significantly more.

I sold something recently for just under fifty quid, having paid three for it. I suspect it will get sold on for over a hundred. But, took me under a week to flip it, wheras the dealer who bought it, may well sit on the thing for months. I'm happy.

Hi all thanks for the responses! Say it slowly it reads "Czecho" on top and on bottom it reads "slavakia" it is funny that you mention blank because I thought that too after seeing the link that's why I was very unsure but I'm happy with the profit. Mine is plain Jane unlike the other one in the link but all in all I'm happy with it. Thanks again!!

Sold it to low? That's a good question, but it brings up a point. You can hope to sell it to one of two customers, the ones who hope make more from it, (wholesale) or the one who wants to add it to his collection, (retail)
There are many more out there buying wholesale, hoping to get top dollar than there are looking to pay top dollar for something the wish they had.
We always tried to price our goods somewhere above wholesale, so we could discount them, but realizing that if the collector found it he would jump at it. Let the Wholesale buyer try to get top dollar.
Percent wise you did very well.

I couldn't agree more with Cherryhil's comment. I try and price my items so they are above the wholesale price but will still be a bargain for any collector. I would prefer my items move than site in inventory forever waiting for that top dollar.

I would add that you will soon drive yourself crazy with the "sold it too low question." I concentrate on the spread between the price I paid and what an item sold for. Today's top price will not be tomorrow's top price which will not be the next day's top price, etc. Prices change constantly and the best you can hope is that you get a good profit when you sell. In other words, if you sell an item for $100 don't be upset if an identical item sells the next day for $110. It's quite possible that the day after another example will sell for $90. If you made your profit that's all that should count. Good luck to you.
