Couple of questions for glass lovers. I picked up a few pieces of antique glass and these two I am not sure about. Are they both French or is the blue more Bristol? Is is a cologne bottle? It is 9.5 inches with a removable glass insert that has a center drilled hole so I am assuming it is for scent or cologne. Now the scalloped mouth appears to be French opaline but I am wondering if this is a vase or is it missing something? It is only 5.25 inches. I have seen Bohemian mantle lustres with this form that were a lot larger and drilled for lusters but I am not sure this little piece would be considered a vase.

White one could be French. I'm inclined to Bohemia on the blue.

I purchased 8 pieces of vintage/antique glass from Hindman and they listed it all as French - so far, the majority is looking like Czech/Bohemian :D Oh well. I think I will call the white opaline piece a compote and be done!

white could be a Mantle Lustre as the rim crimps could accommodate hanging crystals

The white opaline piece wouldn't be a compote, but it sure screams flowers to me. In a pair on a mantle seems likely or a singleton on a side table.

I'm trying to remember an antique piece of Fenton glass I had once that was similar. I cursed it for having a hollow stem. The previous owner had placed some of that green styro type stuff in it, anchored with some unbent paper clips, then added water (and flowers, I assume). The result was a mess under the impossible to clean round edge of the foot along with rust stains from the paper clips still stuck there. It took me forever to get them out and clean it as best I could. People sure do trash their things before they become antiques, LOL!

How wide is the bowl on the white one?
