Found this big beautiful Haitian(?) painting at a local thrift store today for only $9.99! The scene, along with the subjects & bright colors makes me believe it's Haitian - but it's signed Pablo and searching Haitian painters/artists named Pablo is drawing a blank. And I have to admit Pablo doesn't sound very French or Creole to me.
I'm hoping the forum can pull another rabbit out of the hat!
    Thanks

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I can see why you are thinking Haitian... but maybe somewhere else like the Dominican Republic? (Same island as Haiti...) Or even Puerto Rico? Some place where they grow pineapples... Maybe some other Caribbean island also?

My first thought was Dom Rep.

OK, That's possible - does anyone know a caribean or S. American artist named Pablo?
There was another, well known, Haitian artist who painted most of his scenes in a circular form, but I can't remember his name just yet.
