Featured Your help please silver or plate

Hi and thank you in advance. I’ve had this for many years and a friend (goldsmith) told me then it was silver but I have never found a mark. ? Age

 

Assuming this was made in the Netherlands, you need to know that their silver marks are often very small and widely spaced (not all together in a row.) I see at least one in the 4th picture - just above, touching the flower and slightly to the left of the flower at the bottom of the bowl. - a lion inside a 6 sided figure. There may be others in that picture, but you need to know what you're looking for.

An impressive sugar sifter. I have never seen one with such a wide crest and that beautiful medallion, but the style as such is very Dutch.
I love the parrot hidden in the bowl. Probably a symbol of Rotterdam's colonial trade.

And above the lion, a bit to the left, is a mark that could be a maker's mark.

The important bit of information looks blurred. If you have a loupe, can you see if the lion has a Roman numeral between its legs, or Western Arabic? For instance II or 2?

 

If he can put a loupe on it is the best bet.....I tried to do a "close-up" of my "close-up".....it just gets tooooo blurry..........and for some reason every time I try to post my image I get a busy indication and it won't post....it's NOT too large!!!! VERY STRANGE......RE-NAMING did the trick, but now it hardly looks like a lion!!!!
SORRY!!! And I don't see a 2 or II....

UPDATE: DIFFERENT ENLARGEMENT - But not sure it's any better.....
