My friends, i am putting a few photos here of a ring, that i doubt have any value, however, the stone is a bit puzzling to me, and i was wondering if anyone here could help identify it, if possible. Again, the ring does not even look to be silver (no marks) - but i always would love to learn a bit more before deciding it's destiny... 2019-03-03 15.47.36-1.jpg 2019-03-03 15.47.27-1.jpg 2019-03-03 15.46.34-1.jpg 2019-03-03 15.46.07-1.jpg

    Hi,
Reminds me of Barnabas Collins ring in "Dark Shadows". I have mine hidden around here somewhere.:rolleyes: I would wear yours in a second.

He he- maybe that is what i will do, market it like a "Dark Shadows" ring.. ;) But seriously, what would you do with a ring like this? Could there be anyone interested in a ring like this out there, or should i just leave it for the eternal treasure chest with the true costume jewellery? Again, this is not about the money, but i dont want to look unserious by putting something to market that is just "junk" - excuse my language on this excellent forum! What would you do? Ask for a 10'er and hope someone will have it, or put away?

    Hi Torkel,
I would clean it up and wear it proudly. Even if not a great piece it is a wonderful ring.

I think that Kyratango has it nailed. Also the blue/green oxidation on the underside of the ring looks very much like silver oxidation. Nice.

It's a nice ring; I'm not sure what it would be worth if anything, but I'd wear that too.
