Looks reasonably old to me. Can we see the top part better? A shot of the bottom as well.... Also a look at sockets and plug would be helpful.

appears to be pate sur pate - most often it is attributed to Minton - Limoges - Heubach - Mettlach

    Thanks very much!
I searched for "Pate sur Pate" and found so many vases similar to mine. That means the vase is from France, right?

Not necessarily, but possible. Not sure that this is true pate-sur-pate, but the effect is similar. Brad may be back with more info. There may be a name on the base of the porcelain body, but that is covered by the metal mount.

Thanks for the additional pics. Was hoping to see the very top of the body of the vase, a side view of the socket, as well as the plug. I am trying to determine whether this was always a lamp or a conversion from a vase. The base appears to be good quality and likely bronze. The motif on the base is Asian, though not necessarily Asian in origin. The threaded fittings on the bottom are of a modern type so at least the second or third quarter of the 20th century. The socket is a European type. Where are you and how did you acquire the lamp?
