I know there are some keen glass folks around here. I’m wondering if anyone can help ID any of these. Seems like the kind of thing that’s collectible, but not necessarily valuable....I’m sure y’all will let me know!

in your 1st photo, second shelf the footed pieces look like Hocking Block Optic
your Ruby Red bubble glass pitcher was made by Anchor Hocking, the red was issued in 1963.

That's a fantastic collection of green glass. If it's uranium, it would look amazing under a blacklight.

From what I can see it appears that all of the red is Royal Ruby by Anchor Hocking.

Agree on the Hocking Block Optic pieces, and yes, they will react to blacklight. Yes, they are not very valuable as they are quite common. I picked up a box with 20 or so of them at $1 each, and have trouble selling them for more than $3. Look nice in the display case though. The green pitcher looks familiar too, but can't seem to locate it in any of our books.

Question for the board...I see so very much depression glass in the thrifts now is it really even worth picking up anymore ? Has the market completely evaporated on this stuff? I remember, like everyone else ,when this stuff was highly desired.

I think most depression glass is not worth buying unless it is jadite or a rare pattern that you know will sell. I routinely pass up depression glass and think years ago, wow this would have sold like hot cakes. IMHO, those days are gone.
Even jadite prices have fallen apart, but at least there is still a market for certain pieces in great shape.

    JMHO.

The Royal Ruby is not particularly valuable but it is collectible. The pitchers are worth the most. Otherwise you can assemble a set very quickly and cheaply. Technically there about a half dozen Royal Ruby patterns but they all work well together. There are still people that like to use red glass around the holidays. Anchor Hocking also made a forest green color which can be used in a contrasting red/green holiday service. As Iowa noted the block optic is DOA. I usually put it in the Goodwill box.

If it were me I'd keep the Royal Ruby and donate the green. JMHO.

I think that green creamer pitcher would sell too if priced right. It would look nice on a table or if put to use.
There is a seller on Etsy who has remarkable sales and some pieces are akin to the green pitcher. But the selling price is not high on pieces like this.

Thanks to everyone for the information. It certainly looks cool all together in the lighted cabinets...there’s something satisfying about seeing all the different shapes and forms color matched so well. There’s a bunch of other “loose” glass and ceramics to go through. I’ll post some pics when we get there.

Coincidently I am putting a fun display together with the uranium glass and a black light for my house. A good parlor trick. I went out and purchased lots of the stuff cheap yesterday.

The green pitcher might bring $10 or so on a good day. I have a display case that has blacklight in it, and yes it makes for a nice effect.
