Picked these up today. :) There's a rhinestone snake brooch with a c-clasp. It sort of looks art nouveau to me, but I guess it might be art deco... As for the pendant, it appears to be silver, with vermeil accents. There are two stamps (one is either 835, 925, or 935), but I can't read them, since my loupe light died. Was hoping to get your thoughts on age, based on the pendant's style. Also, what do you think the initial is? I thought it might be a "F" or "J" but it doesn't look right to me.

Love the snake brooch. No rhinestones though, regular cut glass or paste, older and more collectible.;)
Snakes were popular throughout the 19th century. Before and after as well.:) A symbol of eternity, eternal love, etc.
It doesn't scream Jugendstil or general Art Nouveau to me. More a combination of the Aesthetic crescent shape and a snake?
Could we see the backs? And if possible the marks?
Looks like an F to me. I tend to stay away from initials, hard to sell, you'd have to find someone with the same initial....

Now THAT'S the way to display one's wares! Excellent background, item large enough without being out of focus! What more could anyone want. (Just a picture of the back, of course...)

Lol, thank you for reminding me. I keep forgetting about rhinestones vs. paste.
It made me think art nouveau because the crescent shape reminds me of Alfons Mucha's paintings :)

Thinking back, I probably shouldn't have paid as much as I did for the pendant, but I really like the style of the border.

Here are the marks and a picture of the backs.

Lol thank you. Most of the time, my pictures come out of focus when they're on a white background, so I figured I'd try blue this time.

Certainly an F. The brooch looks late 19th into early 20th.

Thank you :) Snakes seem to be pretty popular, so I'm hoping that it will make up for spending a bit more like I would've liked on the medal and pendant.

Love the snake brooch! What is its size? (Looks pretty small...)

Thank you! :) Not that big. No more than an inch wide, if even.
