Anyone recognize the glass maker. The metal work is marked with Fra.... about 14" high. IMG_2137.JPG IMG_2139.JPG

Can you include a photo of the mark, please?

Wondering "Fra" for "France", yes helpful to see the mark, the base, etc. A few more photos if possible.

I don't know this kind of thing too well, but would not have guessed pickle jar. Hopefully someone will recognize! :)

I don't see "Fra" in that mark and there are too many letters for France, anyway. Any chance of a closer close up?

Maybe J. Franck? or something along those lines?

Now that I see the really close closeup (was it there and I just missed seeing it? Sorry.) It does look like J. Francke to me.

The lid has an opening for a spoon or ladle, not the tongs needed for pickles. Jam pot?

BTW, I adore this. Idea was probably to make it look like rock crystal. If you want to just send it along, I'll happily pay postage. Otherwise, could we have photos that really show the decorative bits, the putto finial & the faces above each leg?

So, what do we make of the symbols? Clover leaf on the left? Can't think of any word(s) to describe the other.

14" is a little tall for a jam pot.

As a former member of GSA, should have thought of that. All I can see in the other is a prissy omega.

Agree. Just trying to think of something you would proudly place on the table & serve by scooping out. They had so much specialized tableware, once upon a time, who knows? Must have been one sumptuous table!
