    Compound frame made up of various moldings. Late Victorian.

    Gad! I hope so. Years ago, I had one of these, a three-parter. I took each one, plus a simiiar one I already had, and framed Margaret Tarrant's Seasons. They were all somewhat different sizes, and each had a different mat. Very subtle, very striking. :)

    Condition is key to value. I don't see any major losses and the minor ones shown in your photos are fairly acceptable. Here in my market (semi-rural Midwest), we have a hard time selling any such frames unless painted white …… :( I would not advocate doing so but I have a similar frame, though not quite as complex as yours, going begging now for several months at $45.00. Surely there are other markets that will support such values for nice frames such as this.

    I might also add that size makes a difference. Standard sizes will sell more readily than odd ones. For example, 16" x 20" is a standard size that will sell readily. An inch or two off in either direction will make it a hard sell.
