Featured Glass Bowls Sterling Stands

    Hi,
    They were sherbets usually from counter stores where it was necessary to wash in the glass insides but not the metal holders.

    Yes, sherbets or dessert dishes - but the sterling ones were NOT for regular counter service!

    I have about 3 dozen of them in sterling, with several different types of glass liners, that were passed down in my family. I used to use them for dinner parties all the time, but, alas, those days are long behind me...

    Hi,
    Several of the high end stores in NYC used the sterling bases. I have sold several in the past.

    Luncheon at the Bellevue Stratford, ice cream in silver and crystal.... :)
