    komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    I know it's not antique....sorry...:sorry::sorry:....
    It used to have 3 cushions.... and was recovered twice.
    ( my childhood cat had razor claws, and took the back down to the wood twice..)
    It was painted from it's natural brown....also.

    So , it was in the house circa 1960....I don't know if it was older than that....but think not.

    Is there a style name to go with it?
    and.....shudder......what would be a fair city price....should I decide to let it go..?
    ( I can't believe I'm asking..........but if ya can't beat em......;).)

    Very pretty piece. Getting stuff recovered now is so prohibitively expensive I think that more than anything has affected the 2nd hand furniture market. Here in N. Fl you might get $100-150,wich is a shame because they dont make quality like this anymore.Personally,I like the upholstery.

    I think Judy nailed it. You've done a nice job of keeping it contemporary with the linen fabric and wood treatment. It might net you an extra $100 around here....maybe $250 U.S.

    Y'all must have started to rub off on me...my first thought was "French provincial" (and I know absolutely zip about furniture).

    Meanwhile, I want to know what the long-haired fuzzy is who is glimpsed in the first photo! It looks like either a long-haired dog or the back end of a Maine Coon.
