Featured GLASS - 1921 PARFUM PARIS FRANCE - ... DEPT STORE SIGN?

Found this at the thrift store today. It measures 23.75" x 35.75" & is made of glass.
Was this a department store's perfume dept's sign?
Just wall art?
What should I call it/describe it as when posting on eBay?

Suspect 'under glass' is more accurate; looks like art work is on the board on the back & protected by glass.

People like those large factice bottles - store displays - but I don't think the display has much value...

You do say it's glass... I'm guessing you mean the bottle

 

Pay Fedex to pack it, then get the label from shipbikes.com (with insurance) so it still ships with Fedex, but for AT LEAST 50% less than I'd pay Fedex to ship it.
(and no excuse if it breaks enroute with Fedex having packed it)

1921 was the year no. 5 was introduced... Did you see this one somewhere, @Debora? I don't see it. Makes sense they would create new things to launch in 1921,100th anniversary

 

They do large prints on metal sheets nowadays that have a very glassy/glossy look to them. I'd guess this is probably a sheet of aluminum with a glossy print on the front and a white coat on the back.

 

That may have been a Chanel store decoration. It'll have a following.

Haven't seen the like but that's a Chanel bottle with the brand's font.

If it's a genuine Chanel merchandising piece, it should be printed with a code. Does it have one?

Don't see one but I will look closer.
BUT it now looks like a film? attached to glass. I noticed a small circle where light came through & looking closer at the back it looks like paper? or film? tore against a wall or something.
Does this help tell what it is/was created for?
