Featured Need help unable to identify hallmark.

I bought this compact / cigarette case several months ago. Have been trying to figure out composition and country of origin.
Every time I look at hallmarks new shapes pop out in my head
It is like a bad psychology test

Please take a look and see if you can identify what is stamped on this item.

 

What a pretty piece; what annoying marks. Are you able to rotate this pic 180? Fineness mark that says 858?

 

A Portuguese silver mark?

Hmmm, the symbol is the wrong way round so maybe not.

 

What numbers do you see? 833 or 835? Or maybe something else?

 

I think I'm seeing 858, but is a bit off for any fineness system I know, close to, but not equal to 21K gold. I usually find that when I can't make sense, it's because some assumption of mine is wrong.

 

I will try with different camera. Can't get any better shot with the phone.

 

In this case it may be wrong to assume it is an assay mark rather than a maker's mark.

 

Anyone else think it's a crown over the number?

I see 858 as well, but it might be 833
Looks like Portuguese may be the correct country.
