I found this lovely girl at thrift and wanted to find out what term is used when its ceramic that is not mass produced but made by individual artist? Only posting one picture because I need help with what you would call this item. How old is it and what style or decade/era is she dressed as? The bottom was signed "Lolle."

    Thanks,

    Chiquita

PS: Please disregard my dog Jax in the background

The colors take me back to the 1970s when that style clothing also enjoyed a revival. The "big-eyed girls" were also trendy in dolls and pop-art during that era.
She could be the work of a talented hobby painter in a ceramics class.

Jax is a sturdy boy, is he an Alapha Bulldog?

We don't know what Jax is. We rescued Jax this year. He is a sturdy boy, loves his toys, finding the kitties' brownies and playing. He has a lot of spots and we were told he is possibly a pointer? Or pointer mix. Thanks for the info. Working on opening online shop in Etsy and want to possibly sell her and accurately post a good description

I think Japan import from 1970s most likely. She's dressed in Regency clothing (1811-1820) with a great deal of artistic license.

Dont know. No tags or label. Looks like artist signed "lolle" on bottom when ceramic was wet. I will take more pics this evening
