    That’s a traditional Molinillo. It’s pronounced like mole-e-knee-yo.

    It’s Mexican, a hand tool to make hot chocolate frothy.

    I’m Mexican/Cuban, a mix of castellano/spanish is my first language. No worries, I grew up in a household with my mom holding one of these.

    Sometimes she used it to make bubbly hot chocolate, sometimes to make threats. :wideyed::hilarious:

    Indeed. and commonly listed on ebay as a "Native American Rattle." Or "raddle," take your pick.

    (and if you've never seen one in use, you rub it between your palms so it spins, thus frothing the beverage. Or just whack one of the kids with it...)
