Found this lovely little bottle rattling round in a box of rubbish. No idea how it has survived in such amazing condition as it is hallmarked London 1885!. Its part of a dressing table set I think made by Thomas James Watson. I just love the sun peeking over the lid.

So the story on this one is under general discussion, treasure-hunting pet peeves.
I spent $25 on it, it was supposed to be half-priced, but you know when I find something nicer, they always jack up the price on me. Did I spend too much? About 3 inches high, a slight crazing crack, very fine, on chin, you have to enlarge to see.

Neat Marko. Can't help you with what it is, but if you plan to sell it, remember Halloween is not too far away.

I was thinking the same thing. Collectors of Halloween stuff are a pretty rabid group especially when it comes to vintage stuff.

That usually means it's plated, ironically enough, but sometimes it's not.

I have been remiss in posting finds for at least 2 or 3 months, but today I finally took (most) of the pictures, so here's the stuff not in any particular order.

Found this little "Delfts" plate/dish for a buck in the least productive thrift in the area. (I say that because they hardly ever have anything worth buying. But I'm going to have to change my tune - see the next item.)

Found this Morimura handpainted low bowl at the aforementioned thrift this week!! Admitedly I paid $10 for it (hardly a thrift store price) but it's so nice I could not leave it there.

Found this old photo at an estate sale last month - a whole dollar! They must have a had many old photos, but this one must have gotten separated from the rest - sitting on a pile of old clothes and linens in a bedroom, all by itself.

I'm going to post her in Ephemera for discussion.

Don't recall where I found this cute little Shawnee pot, but I bought it because it's the little brother of a larger version I've had for years. This one is only 2.5 inches tall. The larger one almost 4 inches.

More stuff in the next post!
