Japanese Dragonware - moriage? 1950's? Help, please

Here is yet another piece from my sister's late husband's parents' "stash".

I feel okay calling it DRAGONWARE, since it has a cool, raised DRAGON with turquoise eyes right on it. I'm calling it a "handled tidbit tray", too, since it's a 5 1/2" square dish with a finger-hold handle. It has a dull (as opposed to glossy) finish.

It definitely has a fair amount of wear to the gold trim.

Is the raised dragon and the raised trim on the plate and the edge detail considered moriage?

As for dating, it says simply MADE IN JAPAN.

    Post WWII/1950's?

    Thanks for any input!

We called handled little trays such as this a lemon dish (as in for tea). I'm sure it varies regionally.

It's definitely dragonware. Have no qualms.

There have been many discussions here of moriage. You can find them with a search for the term here in the Pottery, Glass and Porcelain forum.
