I picked this up recently. Google tells me it is a bird or cricket cage. It must be one of my oddest finds. It's 23cm tall.

Depending on how wide the spaces between the wood bars are, the cricket could get out too easily. I vote for bird, a very small bird, mind you.

Ive not seen the size of Chinese crickets so I'm not swayed either way.

Bars approx 12mm apart at their widest.

    .47 in standard. Almost a 1/2 Inch.

I'm guessing a Giant Weta could be called a cricket? and wouldn't be able to escape - although it's a very confining small cage. Horrible for any living thing to be in.

That thing looks like it could chew its way through the bars. Regarding captive creatures, I couldn't agree more. I have no intention of using it as such.

Obviously it's for keeping porcelain bowls in.

It looks like a miniature model of those bamboo cages Chinese people carry their songbirds around in, to drink tea with other songbird owners and have the birds compete in song.
