Picked this up at the thrift the other day. Not really my thing and I would typically hate this frame. Think it really works well with this painting. Anyway, thought it had some merit overall. Can't find the painter. I see Silett. Anyone see something different? Circa 1970?

Normally I loathe clowns but this painting would be the exception to the rule. That signature is a nightmare ! 1st letter might be Y or X .

I too loathe clowns, find the signature a mess, and that frame! Ouch!!!

But it does all go together, and the "horsie" is sweet. Child's bedroom, fer schure. :)

To my eye, it's a tad earlier. 1950s. I can see its appeal and agree re frame.

It’s certainly charming. Wish I could help but that scratch mark signature is really something else.

I am also not a clown person, beyond that I can not add anything since this is out of my wheel house.

When I see signatures scrawled like that it makes me think it could be factory art. However name could be Yuell
