    Hi all

found this in a new shop that has opened in our local town, just a guy selling old bits and bobs of his

this was rolled up amongst some old map posters

we both had no clue who the artist was, but liked it for £2

my mate on the bus i saw knew straight away who it was by

its larger than an original, but does look to have some age

paper used makes me think 60s

was it meant to be just a poster, as that looks what it was used as

    any thoughts appreciated

    it's wonderful
the tape on the inside corners....means someone stuck it on their wall.

it somewhat roached....so getting it laminated to some foam core ...and hanging it up would seem to be the best way to enjoy the image..;):happy:

That looks like the last half of the 1960s to me. Everything was being done as posters then. There was a shop I visited almost weekly, just to spend five minutes in the black-light section. This doesn't look black-light to me, but Escher was very popular.

    My only black-light poster:

    cool poster that is

the only thing that makes me think it wasnt supposed to be a poster is the shape.
its in the same shape as the original woodcuts but larger

mine measures 54 cm by 49cm

    Very cool.
takes me back to the days when we would go to the mall and visit Spencers.
They had black light posters as well as regular ones and a whole lot of groovy things.
I don't think I ever bought anything there but it was a fun shop.Oh to be young again.

Escher was all the rage when I was in high school and college. I had the stair step poster on my wall and his books and a puzzle.
