This very long sautoir necklace is gold tone chain with what looks like black glass medallions, almost looks reverse painted, but not sure. Medallions in gold tone setting, beading is also black glass. I know these were worn in the 20's and 30's, but this seems newer. Spring ring clasp.

My guess would be 60s or early 70s.

Agreed: early 70s, when we wore that whole Victorian/Edwardian revival thing.

Me thinks the spring ring clasp is newer than the necklace......

Cut-offs with serious holes, a snug tank top and, of course, no bra.

I keep thinking I held on to my ivory crushed velvet hip hugger bell bottoms, but they are, alas, not to be found. Velour, paisley, corduroy, poor boy sweaters. Earlier than that, mohair sweaters & madras cotton shirts. I still have a pair of Bonnie Doone over-the-knee socks (they had to be gartered) that I wear to bed when there's not enough heat for me. A design of little tulips running in parallel vertical lines. Best of all, the advent of panty hose. We couldn't have had the mini without them & no more having to wear whatever you wore so you could garter your hose, like a panty girdle.

Remember how in the first ones the panty part that was not meant to show went way down to about where a stocking would be gartered, but gradually the visible part got higher & higher as skirts got shorter & shorter.

I am trying to remember the name of the clothing maker you just had to have in 1969. I had a whole ensemble in purple corduroy & a blouse sprigged with little purple flowers by same maker. Don't think they were British, but they traded on the craze for all things English.

Yeah - and there wasn't much flexibility to them.

Purple corduroy? Can't say as it rings any bells. I was a newlywed and we were poor. No shopping for me, unless, later in the year, maternity clothes.;)

We were at different significant points in our lives in 1969. Teen fashion fads would have been far from your mind. They didn't only make purple, that was just the color I liked. Aauugghh! I can't even think how to search for it.

The invention of panty hose and... the blow dryer. Before that it was sleeping on curlers... or frozen lemonade cans.
