Greetings and good evening fellow silver enthusiasts!

Today I had a day off from work, and I was actually uncertain how I would spend my day. I got to sleep in a bit and I was planning to go out, but I figured I would check the "internet" before I left. Lucky that I did, I came across a listing titled "silverware and chest" that I clicked on. First few photos just showed the case, but the flatware looked promising. I sent the seller a message inquiring about the brand, and they told me the back says "Barton Sterling".....Well, we all know what that means, I hopped in my car, drove an hour away, and came back with this nice Reed & Barton sterling set.

There's 35 pieces total, so not an enormous set but I'm not complaining AT ALL. Price for the set and the chest was $100. Not counting the knives, the weight is 1218 grams:

Thank you for looking up the pattern bakersgma, I can tell that this set has barely been used. The items are tarnished but there's almost no micro-scratches on individual items. My theory (a loose theory) is this was a wedding gift that sat unused for years until the owner was finally tired of looking at it.

That could be, Nate. The pictures do make them look blotchy - sort of water spotted.

Polishing complete; clearly this set hasn't seen much use yet.
