I'm afraid I have to disagree with @Ghopper1924's assessment - I think this could very well be a Georgian period chair. Carved too.
I say made in the eBay era, never before.

As a carver and gilder for many years, I have never seen or even heard of "gold powder" or ever found it offered by my gold leaf suppliers, E....
Now I think about it, yes, Japan sounds right.
I don't think they are Chinese, maybe German fairing type pieces?
I'm just guessing but some of them look fairly old to me.
